Eligibility for HIPP

The Arkansas HIPP program is specifically for qualifying Medicaid clients and their families who have access to group health insurance through a job or COBRA.

At this time, individuals currently enrolled in ARKids or Medicare are not eligible for ARHIPP program consideration.

• The commercial health insurance policy must cover the Medicaid member(s) listed on your application.
• To be eligible for the ARHIPP program, the annual cost of an applicant's commercial health insurance must be less than the estimated total cost of the applicant's annual cost that Arkansas DHS would otherwise pay for the Medicaid member's medical care.
